regarding Brian Spence, Bilbo Baggins or this website are welcome. However, a common misunderstanding is that Spence Music is Brian's official website instead of a fan's tribute to him. Any messages for Brian will be forwarded to him, but please do not expect a reply and he is still busy and no response can be disappointing. Add a message : SpenceMusic Home Page : Search

I hope somebody can help me, I was a huge fan of the album Brothers back in the 80's; I have now tried to buy the Brothers CD, but it's not available anywhere in Norway or in Scandinavia for that matter; Does anyone know where I can get this CD? I would be grateful for all help;

Great to finally find some information on Brian; Just spent a good hour reading all your site; My friend Jacqui and I often visited Edinburgh (particularly Chesser) to visit the 'boys', must have thought we were mad! Anyway it doesn't feel like 20 years since the gig in the Caird Hall Dundee - I knew 'mystic Brian' would go far; All the very best to you and congratulations on your wedding; Do you still have 'the last letter'?

I am originally from Edinburgh but moved to London, then Ottawa Canada in 1982; I used to work at Clouds (late night Club) in Edinburgh back in the mid Seventies, where I met Bilbo Baggins and Midge Ure of Slik fame, I did get the chance to jam with Kenny Hyslop from Slik and also with Brian back around 1974; The one thing I remember from that time, is when Brian Shaved his hair off, I remember that it was the result of a bet or dare; It is great tohave found this site and to listen to some great blasts from the past as well as other unheard material; Cheers Doug McArthur (X “Clouds” dancer and fellow musician)

Hiya brian how u doing,ive still got my daft bilbo tatoo; and still proud of it ;how did the trap do?? i thought it was really good; i still see colin and still have the odd game of golf with him; i still remember your gig at leith town hall,ive still not got over the bashing i took from the YLT after the concert but it was worth it;;it seems many years since i visited you in leyton for your recording of the trap; im so glad i found your web site and all the old songs bring back loads of good memories; I now have a grown up family; and my daughter thinks some of the bilbo songs are brilliant; Hope u can reply and hope to see you again sometime in the future for a beer; even if it means coming down to london to see you performing; Take care and all the best for the future; How you never made it god only knows; As 1 of your songs goes its a shame; Love Dicky McDonald
